NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The community that was home to 12-year-old Adriel Moxey is still reeling after her tragic death.

The pre-teen was found dead in bushes just feet from her home on Wednesday. Police say she was wearing only a shirt and had a white cloth tied around her neck.

The tragic incident was shocking for the nation, with many asking how this could have possibly happened.

Yesterday we spoke to Pastor Cleveland Wells, who says she was an active member of his church.

But Adriel was also active in her community.

This business owner says Adriel and her daughter attended the same club. And she saw her last saw her Friday.

Kenyetta’s barber shop is across the street from Anatal Rodgers High School. He says although he’s only seen Adriel a handful of times, the situation as a father pains him.

Police say a 32-year-old man has been taken into custody for questioning.
