GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Polling stations opened early thursday morning for residents to cast their votes in the 2025 local government elections.

However, many polling centers, including those on Grand Bahama remained relatively quiet throughout the morning as voters trickled in ahead of the 6pm closing time.

At the Sir Jack Hayward High School polling station in the Pioneers Loop Community, posters of various candidates lined the area, displaying all of the individuals hoping to serve their communities through local government.

Among them, Kendal Culmer seeks re-election, while first-time candidate Ron Darville Jr. Is eager to secure his place in local government.

Your voice, your choice was the slogan for East Grand Bahama districts candidates Jordan curry and Roland Newton.

As for candidate Rachad Adderley, he says its all about taking action and getting results, he’s asking voters to give him another chance to serve his community.
