NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teacher at Achievers Christian Academy is facing an indecent assault charge after a student accused him of improper conduct.

Prosecutors allege that 33-year-old Christin Johnson placed his hand on the 15-year-old girl’s lap and whispered a provocative message in her ear.

The incidents allegedly took place on separate occasions during January.

Johnson, who faces a three-year maximum sentence if convicted, denied the allegation at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.

His bail was set at $4,000 on the condition that he checks in at a police station on the last Sunday of the month.

Johnson returns to court on April 28 for the start of his trial.
