Lightbourne was also elected as President of the Bahamas Association of Athletic Coaches (BAAC) for a two-year term.
His goal is for local coaches across all disciplines to work together to develop the program at large.

“I think the Bahamas has great talent, but I also think that we as coaches, we can come together as one and share knowledge. And I think that’s what Jamaica has over us. They have a school system, but even though we don’t have a school system, we have club systems, I think that me as the president of the Coaches Association now, we can work together as one.”
