ORLANDO – Bahamasair celebrates forty years of flying into Orlando, and made sure we marked the milestone in style.

Before the wheels went up, we heard from the folks who’ve made this all possible – the loyal Bahamian travelers.

“It’s fabulous, I feel grateful to be on the 40th year of its inaugural flight. I fly it all the time because it gets me there,” Shaquel _ says.

“I think this is a testament of their tenacity and commitment to the Bahamian people to get us where we wanna go,” Stefan Russell says.

As it relates to Bahamasair flight delays Shaquel _ says “…we don’t like the delays but it’s for our safety and I appreciate it.”

However, there wasn’t much delay during this milestone as our flight was set for 12 and by 12:11 we were getting ready to go.

When we landed in the 407, it was all vibes as were greeted with costumes, cake, and Bahamian culinary classics.

For Director of aviation, Dr. Kenneth Romer, the moment was a big deal.

“We’ve come a very long way from that first combined inaugural flight. Bahamas air will continue to grow until the frequency of flights speaks to the volumes of the increased demand that is not diminished over the last four decades,” Romer says.

Bahamasair’s Managing Director, Tracy Cooper left a message for the people back home.

“We continue to say thank you, we continue to encourage you to come on, and we will keep you happy…,” Cooper says.
