NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A judge has denied bail for a man who was shot multiple times as he left court.

In June 2024, Raphael Neymour was ambushed while headed to his car after his gun possession case was adjourned.

While recovering from the shooting, police arrested Neymour in October 2024, when they allegedly caught him with another gun.

He remanded to prison on the second gun charge.

Justice Neil Brathwaite ruled that Neymour was likely to reoffend if granted bail and that his release posed a threat to public safety.
