NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Breast Cancer Survivor who found a new lease on life is insisting the big c is not an automatic death sentence. Jasmin Brown has her inspiring story.

Take one look at Erin Storr and it’s hard to believe that just 3 years ago she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Storr says the diagnosis came as a shock but it did not deter her.

Storr, who is a mom of an adult son and the administrator for the cancer society of The Bahamas, says her diagnosis also brought her family together.

She says she has also found strength through her faith in God.

Now two years cancer-free, she says treatment was not quick and easy.

Storr says she also endured 35 rounds of radiation and through it all she has remained as upbeat as possible.

She is encouraging others to get their mammograms.

Reporting for Our News, I’m Jasmin Brown.
