TURKEY – More than 2,400 people have been killed and thousands more injured in Turkey and northwest Syria after a huge aftershock turned apartment blocks into mounds of rubble.

Relatives gathered at the site of collapsed and damaged buildings in southeastern Turkey where the incident that was caught on camera by state-run TRT Haber, this as residents prayed for news of their relatives and friends impacted by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake.

Other buildings were brought down in the 7.7 magnitude aftershock.
