GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas National Trust is celebrating a round of aesthetic, educational, and safety upgrades thanks to a new partnership with Carnival Cruise.

Executive Director Lakeshia Anderson says Carnival’s donation of thirty thousand dollars supported improvements that enhance both the quality and safety of the guest experience across the park.

Anderson highlighted the installation of a new gate, updated signage, and key enhancements designed to better protect visitors and preserve the environment they explore.

Carnival representatives also shared their excitement about the initiative. Gaielle Hudson, Health, Environment, Safety, and Sustainability Manager at Celebration Key, described the partnership as a meaningful step toward protecting and restoring natural resources across the island and the country.

Hudson emphasized the importance of conservation, noting that their team is committed to supporting long-term environmental health and cultural preservation.

The day was officially recognized as Carnival’s Sustainability and Community Day. Sixteen team members joined BNT staff after the ceremony to assist with on-the-ground work across the park.

The Bahamas National Trust says the upgrades are part of its ongoing mission to ensure national parks remain safe, educational, and accessible for all.
