China Says No One Will Win A Trade Or Tariff War

CHINA – The Chinese Embassy in Washington is pushing back after UI.S. President-Elect Donald Trump threatened new tariffs on Monday.

Trump says he plans to slap a 10% tariff on Chinese imports and 25% on goods from Mexico and Canada when he takes office in January, aiming to tackle illegal immigration and drugs.

In response, a embassy spokesman Liu Pengyu said, “No one wins a trade war,” and stressed that U.S.-china cooperation on drug enforcement is already making progress.
