NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander appeared as the guest on Our TV’s On The Record with Jerome Sawyer this past week.

The top cop said that one of his main priorities is the prevention of crime.

Fernander said that since assuming his new post, a number of organizations have met with him, all with the same goals.

He said he believes they would be more impactful, together. Commissioner Fernander said that a lot of young men today see police as enemies and lack respect for those tasked with serving and protecting.

He added that under his leadership, a new multi- agency task force will be created to tackle crime, particularly gun violence.
