UNITED STATES – Four Cuban-American members of Congress are urging the Trump administration to indict former Cuban leader Raúl Castro over the 1996 shootdown of two “brothers to the rescue” planes that killed four people.

The lawmakers say Fidel Castro previously admitted ordering the attack and argue Raúl Castro, then Cuba’s defense minister, shares responsibility.

The push comes ahead of the 30th anniversary of the incident, as families of the victims renew calls for justice.

The White House and justice department have not commented but fForida lawmakers say they will continue pressing for murder charges.
