UNITED STATES – The trial of hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is underway in New York, with the first witness now on the stand.

Combs is facing serious charges: sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution.

Prosecutors say he used violence and blackmail to control his partners, including ex-girlfriend Cassie.

But the defense argues Combs lived a consensual swinger’s lifestyle and denies all charges.

If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
