ENGLAND – England will ban the sale of disposable vapes starting June 2025, aiming to reduce environmental harm and curb youth usage.

The Department For Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) confirmed the legislation, giving businesses until June 1st, 2025, to clear their stock.

The Circular Economy Minister emphasized the ban as a step toward a sustainable, circular economy, reducing waste and promoting job creation.

Health Minister Andrew Gwynne highlighted that the ban targets youth appeal, noting a concerning rise in vape use among 11- to 15-year-olds.

Critics, including the UK Vaping Industry Association, warn the ban may fuel a black market, as consumers could turn to online overseas suppliers.
