UNITED STATES – VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers are facing an uphill battle, trailing in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Edgecombe finished with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in the 76ers 108-102 loss last night to the Knicks on the road.

Philly had the shot, but were undone by a disastrous fourth quarter when they went scoreless for just over four minutes and surrendered an 11-0 run.

New York takes a 2-0 lead in the series which shifts to the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia for game three on Friday night at 7PM, and game four Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM.

Team Bahamas Draws Group A

The Senior Women’s National Basketball Team learned their draw for the FIBA AmeriCup 2027 Centrobasket Qualifier.

Hosted in Managua, Nicaragua July 12-18, The Bahamas has been drawn into group A alongside the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Nicaragua.

Group B includes Guyana, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and the U.S Virgin Islands.

The top three teams will advance to the 2027 AmeriCup.

The Bahamas earned its spot in the qualifier after last year’s third-place finish at the FIBA Caribbean Women’s Championships in Guyana.
