NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tonight’s council meeting will kick off the FNM’s official bid for the West End and Bimini seat.

But before such a decision is made, there is a process. It requires the submission of a resume and letter of intent by anyone seeking to be recommended to the Central Council.

Submissions are made at the FNM’s national headquarters in New Providence or Grand Bahama with electronic submissions via email also accepted.

This week, FNM Leader Michael Pintard told reporters that a decision would be made soon. He says the party is optimistic.

This By-Election Pintard believes is one of utmost importance as the constituency and Grand Bahama as a whole face economic challenges.

Many predict the FNM’s choice to be Bishop Ricardo Grant out of Grand Bahama who informed the Nassau Guardian this week of his application to the party for the seat.

Despite Grant being the only hopeful to publicly share his desire for the nomination, as to who the party will choose, we will have to wait and see.
