Foreign Min. Clarifies Ukraine Vote

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell seeking to clarify a recent vote at the United Nations that was recorded as “no” for The Bahamas when it should’ve been recorded as abstain.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell seeking to clarify a recent vote at the United Nations that was recorded as “no” for The Bahamas when it should’ve been recorded as abstain.

The Bahamas, along with other member countries were voting on the draft resolution of the  furtherance of remedy and aggression against Ukraine.

Mitchell says steps have been taken to correct the error but has been advised that it’s not possible to change the vote.

As CARICOM Caucus Chair, Mitchell says a statement was delivered on behalf of all 14 countries.
