NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in the northern Bahamas along with other government agencies taking time out to give back to those in need in various inner city communities in Grand Bahama. The police chief on that island says the initiative is just one way to give back to the communities they serve.

Acting deputy commissioner of police and his team distributing boxes filled with perishable items for the holidays in Grand Bahama.

Residents getting an opportunity to speak one on one with representatives of several government agencies.

Deputy Director of Urban Renewal Senator Kirkland Russell was also on hand for the distribution.

The Our News team speaking with several residents in the community who say they are grateful for the donation.

And, they had this bit of advice for those who may be feeling discouraged this holiday season: “Give God the praise.”
