NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis touting that his government has halted constant downgrades by external rating agencies.

The most recent downgrade came back in October, 2022 when Moody’s downgraded The Bahamas due to actions taken over financing access fears.

Davis says last year, government bonds were top performing overall in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The prime minister says the economic affairs minister met with investors to provide access to the government but the official opposition isn’t sold on this point.
