EXUMA, BAHAMAS – The government still working to put an end to the banking shortage in the Family Islands.

Deputy Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Exuma and Ragged Island Chester Cooper insists commercial banks will return to the Family Islands.

His comments came after the opening ceremony of the 79th Annual Rolleville Regatta and Homecoming in Exuma.

Cooper says the issue is vexing for many Family Island residents and calls it unacceptable.
