Grandfather Convicted of Incest with Granddaughter

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 61-year-old  man is behind bars awaiting sentencing after he admitted to molesting his nine-year-old granddaughter.

The man has not been named to protect the identity of his victim.

He pleaded guilty to one count of incest when he appeared before Justice Renae McKay.

The charge stems from an incident that took place on September 10, 2024, at the convict’s home.

The court heard how the man raped the young child during a visit to his home.

Attorney Lavar Ferguson claimed the convict was losing his eyesight due to working many years as a welder. His hearing is also poor as a result of an accident.
