NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Carnivale Bahamas has opened their doors and they’ve done so in a grand way promising to give you great food great service and they’ve paid an ode to a global icon with their private room.

Before we get into the room, I want to first give you the details on the latin fusion restaurant.

Originating in Chicago this is the first location outside of the United States.

Located in the Hurricane Hole super-yacht marina  at Paradise Landing, the $12 million development held it’s lavish opening on Saturday night attracting  a total of 700 guests and dignitaries including the guest of honor,  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper.

Along with it’s brightly colored decor the owners wanted to cement the spirit of Bahamian excellence in a special way.

With that the Sidney Poitier private room was manifested.

Cooper was presented with a replica of the mural that hangs on the wall of the private room.

The mural was created with smaller images of Sir Sidney to depict the eminent photo of him becoming the first black man to win an Academy Award for best actor.
