GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Walking into Celebration Key is extremely fun — according to Guest Experience Manager Della Bridgewater, that’s the whole point.
Assistant Manager of Cabana Services Ricardo Haygood agrees, laughing as he puts it simply: “We get paid to have fun.”
But that fun doesn’t start when the first guest steps off the ship — it starts long before.
From VIP arrivals to carefully selected local vendors, everything about the experience at Celebration Key is thoughtfully designed to reflect both joy and authenticity.
Senior Guest Experience Manager Daniel Belton explains that the guest experience at Celebration Key includes everything from cabana and guest services to shore excursions and the entertainment team.
It’s a collaborative effort to ensure a seamless, exciting experience from arrival to departure.
Nudsen Saintilma, Cabana Services Manager, highlights her role in overseeing more than 200 rentals — including daybeds and cabanas — adding that it’s a responsibility she embraces with enthusiasm.
One of the highlights of Celebration Key is Pearl Cove, an exclusive adults-only beach club.
According to Khesdon Russell, Assistant Manager at Pearl Cove, the space is “luxurious, stylish, and chic — equipped with its own private restaurant, cabanas, beach, super villas, and over 350 lounge chairs.”
Jaquay Johnson, also an Assistant Manager at Pearl Cove, shares that their team has already been onboarded and is now undergoing training focused on “luxury language” to prepare for a standout guest experience when doors officially open.
But the experience goes beyond beaches and cabanas. Local culture is a central part of the Celebration Key experience — and the vendors are a key piece of that puzzle.
Concession Manager Alandka Julien-Rolle says the team is still finalizing contracts, but so far, 26 of their vendors are Bahamian — including 18 from Grand Bahama.
Guests can expect to enjoy local favorites like Baha Gala jewelry, the Mini Tuna King food truck, and the popular Flipping Fritters.
“We’re really focused on that authentic Bahamian touch,” Julien-Rolle says.
Entertainment plays a major role, too — and it’s all deeply rooted in cultural pride.
Entertainment Manager Ryan Smith says, “While we take our fun seriously, we also take our culture seriously. Every day on Celebration Key, there will be a Junkanoo rush out — not once, but twice per day.”
Ashwanna Gordon, also on the entertainment team, adds with excitement, “Mama say no raking and scraping in here — but we gone be raking at Celebration Key! Get ready for the costumes. Get ready for the excitement.”
Meanwhile, guest services and shore excursion teams are hard at work connecting guests to even more local experiences.
“We are the core of all guest needs and experience right now,” says Latetia Scott, Guest Services Manager for Shore Excursions. “We’re currently working with over 40 local vendors. This gives locals a chance to earn and strengthens the economy.”
Juliene Michel, Assistant Manager of Guest Services, puts it simply: “We bring the energy! And if you’re thinking about joining Celebration Key — don’t think. Run here!
