HAITI – At least 110 elderly Haitians were brutally murdered in Port-Au-Prince over the weekend in a gang-led massacre, Human rights groups report.

Gang leader Monel Felix, known as Mikano, allegedly targeted residents after a voodoo priest blamed their “witchcraft” for his son’s death.

Victims in the Cité Soleil neighborhood were reportedly stabbed, shot, and some mutilated and burned in the streets.

The UN estimates 5,000 people have been killed in Haiti’s escalating gang violence this year. The UN says efforts by a Kenyan-led security force to restore order remain underfunded and ineffective.
