HAITI – United Nations International Children’s Emergency fund warns that Haiti’s health system is on the brink of collapse, with 60% of hospitals barely functional.

UNICEF says the disruption has left vulnerable children at heightened risk.

The reopening of Port-Au-Prince’s airport on Sunday has not eased the backlog of vital supplies, as UNICEF says looting is exacerbating shortages.

The UN says violence, displacement, epidemics, and malnutrition have severely strained the system.
