JAMAICA – Heads of government in the region convening in Jamaica for the next two days. The topic of discussion: The Ongoing Crisis in Haiti and Actionable Solutions. Prime Minister Philip Davis, along with former Prime Minister Perry Christie and Foreign Affairs Minister, Fred Mitchell, will be involved in the high level discussions. In his address at the opening of the Haiti Stakeholders Meeting, Prime Minister Davis telling government leaders that continued suffering in Haiti has been ongoing for far too long.

Davis adding that there is no such thing as a perfect solution, but everyone must come together for a plan of action to effect immediately.

Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, will lead CARICOM’s special mission to Haiti in February of this year.

Prime Minister for Haiti, His Excellency Henry thanking the regional leaders for their ongoing support while acknowledging that the solution to Haiti’s crisis must be Haiti led.
