Harmonizers Represent All Generations

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Day 2 of the Love & Harmony Cruise kicked off with an international flag party right here in the The Bahamas, on Grand Bahama sand.

Hosted at Pirate’s Cove Zipline and Waterpark, the event featured local DJ’s Fresh International, Only Tunezz, and DJ Spuddy, whose music mix helped to enthuse a crowd of over one thousand harmonizers with Reggae, Soca, Rake N’ Scrape, and other genres.

After five hours of dancing on the sand of Grand Bahama, we disembarked as the celebrations transferred from the beach to the ship, kicking off with a sail away party, highlighted by a performance from Soca artist Shurwayne Winchester.

Then, under the moonlit skies, Reggae artist Pinchers and Romain Virgo serenaded harmonizers with their catalog of hits.

The evening wrapped up with a 90’s party.

However, Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials were not the only groups in on the fun, as Gen Z harmonizers were also well represented.

For example, 15-year-old Fortune Valery whose originally from Miami, came on the cruise to connect with her Haitian heritage.

“Finding new friends and just like being able to immersed in the music and just like everything. Like [to] see the people so proud of where they came from and their culture, it definitely is happy to see.”

The grandson of Reggae icon Beres Hammond, Kingston Pauyo, says the Love & Harmony Cruise holds greater significance for him, and is so much more than just a party at sea.

“Well I get to party, eat food, and then you know learn a new experience hopefully, [because] I came here under my grandpa Beres, and hopefully get to learn a new experience in the music industry.”
