GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A man is dead on Grand Bahama following a shooting incident.

On Saturday, July 30th, shortly before 1:00AM, the police control room received a report of gunshots being heard in the area of a business establishment situated in Hanna Hill, Eight Mile Rock.

Initial reports revealed, that an adult male while standing on the outside of the business establishment was approached by two masked men, one armed with a high-powered rifle and the other male armed with a handgun. The men then pointed and discharged their weapons in the direction where the male was standing.

The male was able to run into the business establishment as one of the males gave chase. While inside the business establishment, the armed male discharged his weapon, shooting the man multiple times about the body.

The two-armed men then left the area on foot in an unknown direction making good their escape. EMS personnel transported the victim to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was seen and examined by a doctor and pronounced dead.

Now Grand Bahama Press Liason Officer confirming with our news that the name of that business establishment is platinum lounge and this is the third murder that has taken place at that business establishment. Adding that police are in communication with the owner of that business in an effort to avoid these tragic incidents from reoccurring.

Investigations are continuing.
