How The Right Bra Helps Breast Cancer Survivors Stay Active
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Meet Relinda Arnette – she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and had to make tough decisions shortly after it was confirmed she had cancer.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Meet Relinda Arnette – she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and had to make tough decisions shortly after it was confirmed she had cancer.
What followed was months of recovery. Part of the process was getting the right mastectomy bra and prosthesis, which is an artificial breast shape that can sit inside a bra to replace all or part of the breast.
For years, Bahamas Medical and Surgical Supplies has sold best known brands for cancer care, including Amoena, which is a top mastectomy bra line. Their shelves are also stocked with breast prosthesis.
Their staff is also specially trained by vendors to help customers pick the right products.
Arnett says their products have helped her maintain an active lifestyle.
