NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The immigration minister also weighing in on that citizenship bill presented by Coalition of Independents leader Lincoln Bain, saying the bill has nothing new. 

Before he and a few supporters were arrested this week, Bain stood outside parliament presenting envelops to parliamentarians containing his party’s draft amendment of the Bahamas Nationality Act.

Bell says the topic calls for consultation. 

Bell says the bill is now being referred to the Office of the Attorney General.
