NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An inmate is facing murder and attempted murder charges in relation to a stabbing at the Bahamas Department of Corrections.

Thirty-six-year-old Diallo Williamson appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux charged with the February 1 murder of Brody Fitz and the attempted murder of Nicanor Moss.

Prosecutors allege that Williamson stabbed both men with a handmade weapon as they were let out of their cells to empty their night pails.

Williamson was not required to enter pleas to the charges.

He returns to court on June 17 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Williamson is expected to be tried later this year for the November 1, 2021 murder of his cellmate Mikhail Miller.

Williamson is accused of bludgeoning Miller to death.
