NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It has officially been announced that the 2022 Boxing Day parade has been postponed to Monday at 6PM. The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Junkanoo Corporation of New Providence, along with the Department of Meteorology and leaders of the Junkanoo committee, coming together this afternoon to decide the fate of the Boxing Day Junkanoo Day Parade amidst adverse weather.

Acting Director of the Department of Meterology, Jeffery Simmons, explains adverse weather condition led to the decision.

Chairman of the JCNP, Dion Miller, and Chairman of the Parade Management Team, Anthon Mortimer say the decision was made in the best interest of all involved, spectators and participants alike.
