Jazz Chisholm made a major contribution to his team’s win over the San Francisco Giants yesterday.

Miami Marlins centerfielder Jazz Chisholm put the team on his back yesterday to get the win over Coach Antoan Richardson and the San Francisco Giants, 4-2.

The Marlins were down 2-1 in the bottom of the 4th with 2 on, when Jazz hit a moon shot to right field off Jakob Junis to give the game its final score.

The win has the Marlins trending in a positive direction winning 6 of their last 7. While Antoan Richardson’s giants are trending in the wrong direction, losing their 5th straight game.

Basketball

Meanwhile in the NBA, Deandre Ayton had a double-double to keep his Phoenix Suns from dropping in their playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Deandre Ayton scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help his Suns beat the Clippers 123-109.

Devin Booker went off to lead the Suns with 38 points and 9 assists. Kevin Durant had 25, 6 and 5.

Kawhi Leonard had 31, 8 and 7 for the Clippers and Russell Westbrook had 25, 5 and 5.

The win ties the series 1-1.

Soccer

And, finally, The Bahamas women’s under-20 soccer team took on Curacao last night in Willemstad.

Right next to the pool where our CARIFTA swimmers dominated.

Unlike our swimmers, however, the soccer team lost to Curacao 7-0.

This is coming off a 13-0 loss to Panama a few days ago.

Our women have a chance to put a win on the board against St. Martin tomorrow night. Look out for those results.
