Justice Turner Takes Up New Judicial Post

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Supreme Court Justice Bernard Turner has been appointed by the Judicial Service Commission as a Justice of the Appeal for the Turks and Caicos Islands.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Supreme Court Justice Bernard Turner has been appointed by the Judicial Service Commission as a Justice of the Appeal for the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The new post is set to take effect from May 1st, 2023 to April 30th, 2028.

Turner has served as a crown council in the Office of the Attorney General since 1988 and was appointed Director of Public Prosecution in 1999 – a post he held for ten years.

He currently holds many posts which include Senior Judge in the criminal division of the Supreme Court and Chair of the committee for the design and installation of an electronic bail management system.
