UNITED STATES – Kraft Heinz is breaking up, nearly ten years after the mega-merger that created one of the world’s biggest food companies.

The company says it will split into two businesses, Global Taste Elevation Co., which will include Heinz ketchup, Philadelphia cream cheese, and Kraft mac & cheese… and North American Grocery Co., which will handle brands like Oscar Mayer, Kraft Singles, and Lunchables.

Executives say the split will help the company focus better on growth, as shifting consumer tastes and tough competition have pressured sales. The move is expected to be finalized in 2026, with no changes to its headquarters in Chicago or Pittsburgh.
