NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It was an emotional scene early Saturday morning as the grief-stricken family of 31-year-old Elroy Rolle grappled with the devastating reality that their loved one was gunned down outside a family home.

His heartbroken sister, Racquel Roach, described him as a devoted family man who is the first of three brothers.

Roach said her brother was employed and washed cars in his spare time to make extra cash, insisting he was not a troublemaker.

Police say they received a call about the shooting and quickly responded.

When officers arrived, they found Rolle in the road with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police Press Liaison Chief Superintendent, Sheria King says,

“Our investigators have done their preliminary investigation, and what they have learned so far is that the male was visiting family members in the area. He exited the residents and approached his vehicle when two males opened fire on the deceased, fatally wounding him,”

“The suspects fled on foot in a northern direction. We’re asking anyone with information concerning this matter or any matter that can assist the police to please contact us,” she said.”

King assured the residents of the area that the police are present in communities to prevent incidents like this from happening.
