NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who was on bail for sex crimes against children is back behind bars on a rape charge.

Prosecutors say 30-year-old Danis Cezalien raped a 25-year-old woman on November 25 after giving her a ride home.

He didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.

Bail was denied and he returns to court in March to get voluntary bill of indictment papers.

At the time of his arrest, Cezalien was on bail for allegedly molesting a six-year-old girl and forcing the child to perform sex acts with boy, alone aged six.

He’s expected to be tried on those allegations in 2025.
