NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of killing his friend while playing with a loaded gun no longer faces a murder charge.

Brenden Marcellus, 20 is now charged with manslaughter in the May 12 shooting death of Enrico Deal at Butler’s Way.

Prosecutors say Marcellus, 20, was skylarking with the gun when it went off, killing Deal.
Marcellus has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter charge.

Marcellus has bail for his case; however, he remains in custody because his family can not afford to post his $15,000 bail.

He is expected to get a trial date when he appears before Justice Gregory Hilton on January 19.
