NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Almost 5,000 migrants were repatriated last year – the highest on record, according to Immigration Minister Keith Bell.

The immigration minister says while the majority of repatriations were to Haiti and Cuba, repatriations went as far as the Middle East.

Bell has had two meetings in the past week with the Director of Immigration.

The minister suggests anyone who claims they can’t see the work and results of the Department of Immigration, may be “looking in the wrong direction.”
