New Computers For GB Community Center

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A Grand Bahama community center is one step closer to reopening its doors.

The Emmanuel Baptist Disciple Community Centre getting a much needed donation of four new computers.

On hand to accept were Pastor Israel and Nadine Pinder, who both say the computers will help the church’s after school program. Emmanuel Baptist Disciple Community Centre was destroyed by hurricane Dorian in 2019.

Not only will the computers will help with homework, the Pinders are also hoping to partner with the Ministry of Education to start high school diploma equivalency classes in East Grand Bahama.

Making the donation was East Grand Bahama MP Kwasi Thompson, who says he was inspired by the couples story of triumph after losing so much after hurricane Dorian.
