Orange Juice, Steel On Canada’s List For Retaliation If Trump Imposes Tariffs

CANADA – Canada is considering retaliatory tariffs on U.S. products like orange juice, toilets, and steel if President-Elect Donald Trump imposes 25% tariffs on Canadian goods, according to a senior official.

Trump recently claimed the U.S. doesn’t need Canadian goods and suggested Canada should become the 51st state, comments Canadian officials call deliberate provocations.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Finance Minister Dominic Leblanc have warned of countermeasures, targeting key U.S. exports.

Canada remains the top export destination for 36 U.S. States, with $3.6 billion in goods and services crossing the border daily.
