NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Public Managers Union is ‘disappointed’ after heading to the table with National Insurance Board Executives. This as the union took their issues to the Department of Labour today.

Sasha Lightbourne explains.

For months members of the Public Managers Union (PMU) at the National Insurance Board (NIB) have been petitioning to be compensated for their services, especially those who worked during the pandemic.

Union President Cassandra Cartwright-Lewis says it’s time to up the ante as the union filed a strike vote for April 6th.

Cartwright-Lewis explains her members are seeing others around them compensated and promoted.

She says she has no problem negotiating, but both sides have to benefit.
