ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS – Clean running water is considered a life essential and now over 100 homes in Spanish Wells, Eleuthera will have access to potable water. It’s all thanks to a new water supply project on the island.

It’s all thanks to a new water supply project on the island residents express excitement on Russell Island in Spanish Wells Eleuthera, who now have access to potable running water. 

Family Island Affairs Minister Clay Sweeting, who is a resident of Russell Island, says it has been a long time coming. 

At a commissioning ceremony for the water supply project on Friday, Works and Utilities Minister,  Alfred Sears, thanked the team at the Water and Sewerage Corporation for their efforts. 

Now Eleuthera has had its fair share of water challenges, and Prime Minister Davis says the hope is that now those issues will be a thing of the past.
