WASHINGTON DC – With temperatures in the low 20s, supporters and inauguration spectators lined up from before 4am Monday morning for a chance to participate in a last minute watch party, to witness the swearing in of America’s 47th president Donald Trump.

Hours later as the soon to be new president, outgoing President Joe Biden, three other former presidents and other DC political noteables assembled in the US Capital Rotunda, over at the Capital One Arena, the pomp pageantry and politics permiated the atmosphere.

As the political players assembled.

A testament to the fierce loyalty garnered by the 47th president.

For the first time in 40 years the President and Vice President took the oaths of office inside, as freezing temperatures beset the capital.

The new president coined it “return of the golden age of America” wasting no time setting his agenda.

No surprise, illegal immigration, with an executive order to declare an emergency at the southern border with full military presence.

A thunderous applause both in the Rotunda and in the Capital One Arena as he outlined his plans to restore America’s greatness.

His firey and often controversial inauguration address touched on some areas that could easily impact The Bahamas – good and bad.

Namely, his promises to address inflation, drilling for oil and natural gas, ending the new green deal, retaking the Panama Canal and establishing an external revenue service.
