The Bahamian College Reciever Inches One Step Closer to CFB Playoff

Boise, ID, USA – Prince Strachan and his Boise State Broncos are firmly in line to make the first-ever College Football Playoff following a very eventful weekend.

The Broncos came into the weekend in line for a playoff spot, being ranked 11th in the country. They solidified their position with a 34-18 win over their future conference opponent, Oregon State University.

While Prince and the Broncos handled their business, a big upset moved them up to the top 10.

The University of Miami, a team that came into the weekend ranked number 6 lost a season-breaking upset to Syracuse, ejecting them from the top 10, allowing Boise State to move up a spot. The top 12 teams in college football will play in the playoffs.

Strachan, a 6’5” receiver from Grand Bahama has been a solid contributor on the Broncos, catching 19 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown in his sophomore season.

With his size and speed, he is a threat to make a big play on any given down and distance, but Boise’s offense is built around Ashton Jeanty, the nation’s leader in rushing yards and touchdowns

Prince and the Broncos have one more test to overcome for a playoff slot: They’ll have to play UNLV in the Mountain West Conference Championship on their home blue turf on Friday at 8 pm Bahamas time.

The matchup will be a rematch of the Broncos’ 29-25 win over UNLV in Las Vegas in October. Strachan tied the team lead for catches and yards in that game.
