Prison Commissioner: Parole is Coming

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Acting Commissioner of Corrections Doan Cleare says that the roll out of a new parole system for inmates will come later this year.

Speaking at the Journey Course Training Graduation ceremony for maximum security inmates, Cleare said the proposed system will be taken up in a town hall meeting this week.

Cleare explained inmates will not be eligible for parole without conditions and said a parole board will be constituted.
