GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The new Fluoroscopy Room seeks to enhance the healthcare system on Grand Bahama as physicians will now be able to perform a wide range of examinations.

For over five years, patients in Grand Bahama have been required to travel elsewhere for essential and routine procedures.

The room is located in the radiology department at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Deputy Managing Director Kele Issacs says the reopening of the room marks a pivotal moment for the healthcare facility.

Chairman of the Public Hospitals Authority Andrew Edwards thanking direct relief and International Med X, the organizations responsible for providing equipment for the newly opened fluoroscopy room.

Minister for Grand Bahama Ginger Moxey says government is committed to working closely with the PHA.
