THE BAHAMAS – BD Global is hosting some of the best golfers on the Korn Ferry Tour, and one local will be among the field.

Cameron Riley has been granted an unrestricted sponsor exemption, and will be the hometown favorite at the Bahamas Golf Classic, hosted next week at the Ocean Club Golf course.

It marks the third time Riley will tee it up in The Bahamas at a Korn Ferry Tour event – the PGA Tour’s primary developmental circuit.

It features many of the world’s top emerging professional golfers chasing a pathway to the PGA Tour.

In addition to competition, the event schedule will include a series of community-focused activities – a youth golf clinic on Friday, opportunities for local players to engage with tour professionals and coaches in a public exhibition on Saturday, and school outreach where local school kids will be invited to the final round on Wednesday.

BD Global officials note the event is designed to create a lasting impact by blending international sport, youth development, and tourism exposure, while providing a platform for Bahamian talent to compete on a global stage.

IYBL To Tip Off 2026 Winter League In February

The Island Youth Basketball League aims to revolutionize the development of the sport locally.

The organization will officially launch its 2026 Winter League on Saturday, February 7, at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium.

The league enters the winter season following a successful fall jamboree in October that drew 80 registered players from 38 schools, homeschool networks, and community programs, highlighting strong demand for organized, age-appropriate youth basketball for both boys and girls.

Oaktree Medical Center has signed on as title sponsor, and the seven-week winter league runs through March 21, featuring 20 teams and 5 age divisions.
