NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Social Services Department hosting a student empowerment seminar on anxiety and depression this week at the Foster B. Pestaina Center in Grand Bahama.

High school students on the island were presented with a number of ways to deal with stress, thoughts of suicide, bullying and depression.

Chief Social Worker at the Department of Social Services Brenaemae Rolle-Cooper.

And, as for those who may be struggling mentally, Rolle-Cooper had this bit of advice. “You are not alone. There is help. Reach out to someone.”
