NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Residents are reacting to a possible increase in the National Insurance Board rates. The majority of residents we spoke to say they would support an increase in the NIB rate saying it is needed based on the times that we live in.

Some retirees say they believe a rate hike should translate to increased benefits.

One resident says while he supports an increase, the upper call members of society should burden the cost.
